Marriage Encounter Weekend

The OSG-BLD Guelph Marriage Encounter Weekend is a positive and deeply personal weekend retreat designed to strengthen and renew the relationships of married couples. It provides couples with the opportunity to reflect deeply on their relationship with each other and with God. Through talks, reflections, and shared experiences, couples learn a technique of loving communication that can last a lifetime. In a trusting and private environment, couples are encouraged to share their feelings, hopes, fears, joys, and frustrations. The weekend fosters improved communication, deeper understanding, and a renewed commitment, ultimately leading to a more loving, harmonious, and faith-filled marriage.”

Life in Spirit Seminar Program

The OSG-BLD Guelph Life in the Spirit Seminar (LSS) is a program designed to help individuals deepen their relationship with God and experience the fullness of the Holy Spirit. It focuses on renewing personal faith, nurturing spiritual growth, and empowering participants to embrace and live out their Christian calling. Through a combination of teachings, fellowship, prayer, and personal reflection, the seminar guides attendees in understanding the gifts of the Holy Spirit and applying them in everyday life, leading to a more vibrant and purposeful Christian journey.

Single Encounter Weekend

The OSG-BLD Guelph Singles Encounter Weekend is a  journey designed with single young adults (18-35 years old) in mind. The weekend addresses the unique challenges that come with being single, and empowers young adults to overcome them, embrace their path, and live a life filled with purpose and joy. Guided by our inspiring spiritual director, young adults dive into personal talks, reflective moments, and meaningful activities that will help them connect more deeply—with themselves, their community, and most importantly, with God. Along the way, young adults will be surrounded by a supportive group of individuals who, just like them, are seeking growth, fulfillment, and a stronger sense of self.  The Singles Encounter weekend is an opportunity to become part of the OSG-BLD Singles Ministry family, a community built on faith, encouragement, and shared purpose.

Mission

The OSG-BLD Guelph is dedicated to spreading the message of God’s love through its mission work focusing on evangelization, spiritual formation, and social outreach. OSG-BLD Guelph aims to support the Catholic parishes under the Diocese of Hamilton and alleviate the poor and the needy by collaborating with other not-for-profit organizations including Hope House, St. Vincent de Paul, the Guelph Food Bank, Chalmers, and the Royal City Mission Church.
